IVANO FACCHETTI

Ivano Facchetti was born in the province of Bergamo in 1974 to a middle-class family and grew up near Caravaggio. While attending elementary school, he stands out for his artistic skills in drawing, so much that his teacher pushes him and his family in an attempt to orient him in an artistic school where he can express his obvious talent.

Turbulent and driven by the desire for consumerism to have everything right away, he left his studies to start working in a carpentry shop where, outside working hours, he experimented creations and gave free rein to his creativity. Upon reaching a young age he knows and abandons himself to excesses, exchanging the night for the day and living "over the top", also putting his health and his affections at risk.

In this period he begins to approach the market world, where, by proposing his works, he begins to be successful and is labeled by many as an artist.

The nickname "CARAVAGGIO" was born from this. His relationship with art, as a true self-taught person raised from nothing, is vital. In an interview he says:

"Art has saved me from a very dark and difficult period, I managed to address in my works the disturbances and neuroses that, otherwise, would have pushed me to take wrong and harmful paths. I am grateful to God for life and to life for allowing me to know art".

His works can be admired in several art galleries where, at a glance, you can appreciate his three-dimensional figures that distinguish him and experimental painting oriented towards Pop Art.
